Is there a minimum contract?
No. We do not lock customers into long-term contracts. Standard subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Enterprise customers may choose an annual contract for discounted pricing if they prefer.

Yes — every quote includes a 14-day free trial with full access to your chosen tier's features. No credit card required to start.
Can I bring my existing data across?
Yes. Data migration (customers, products, suppliers, batch stock, sales orders, historical invoices, price lists) is delivered by the HortiOwl team as part of a paid onboarding service — we'll clean and reconcile the data against your old system rather than asking you to wrangle CSVs yourself. Bring whatever you've got to the demo call and we'll scope the migration on the follow-up quote.
Does HortiOwl handle UK VAT correctly for plants?
Yes. You configure the VAT rate per product (0% for live plants and seeds, 20% for tools, pots, and hardscape). Every quote, order, and invoice applies the correct rate automatically.
What is a Plant Passport and do I need it?
UK Plant Passports are legally required for most professional plant movements within Great Britain. HortiOwl captures the four mandatory elements at goods-in on Growth and Enterprise plans.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. All data is stored in AWS DynamoDB and S3 in London (eu-west-2) with continuous point-in-time recovery plus weekly off-site snapshots retained for 90 days. Your data is never at risk from a single hardware failure.
